| Pierce is pretty even kill-Fade aways and set shots from 3. The array of shots kobe takes is far more diverse. Thats why I see it as not close. | |

Kobe has more ways to score through a mid-range jumper but that's about. Pierce is also one of the most complete offensive players and can do almost as much as Kobe when talking about a jumper. And srsly? Pierce was one of the best 3pt shooters last year. Kobe what? It's stupid to say that they are even. btw You claim that it's not close but if you take jump shooting pct's Pierce has a better pct.

| Kobe-33% Pierce-41%.
The reason I say There even is Kobe mkes alot more tough 3's. pierce can knock down spot on 3's and the occasional amazing 3 ball. Kobe also took 300 while pierce shot 230 3's. And as long as its not a dunk its a "shot" and goes into my judging of a "shooter" And take roles into account. Kobe ALWAYS sees double teams while pierce RARELY sees a double team.

Pierce took 30 less and made more, lol.. Yes the roles matter and the 3pt shot is a tad higher because of this. He's still better tho. But when talking about mid, close range shots (jumpers, leaners, floater it's everything) Pierce still has the edge.

| Pierce can't make a 360 layup,Over the backboard shot,Pierce cant effortlessly make floaters after splitting 2 defenders.....Im still not convinced that its close. | |

| The thing is, Kobe is 10x as consistant. If you look at the game log, it's filled with 20's, 30's, very few 10's, and no single digits (unless he didn't play). Pierce's is filled with 10's, low 20's, barely (5) any 30's, and some single digit games. Kobe is being guarded by defenders helping from Small Forward and Point Guard, as you really think Fisher or Artest are big offensive threats? Pierce is almost always single coverage. Rondo who's a fucking beast, and Allen, the best shooter ever. | |

| Yeah you have a point. But.
Kobe is NOT consistant when talking about shooting. He's way too inefficient to even consider him.
PTS do not matter as long as they take the same amount of jumpshots, right? You forgot that i think.
Kobe barely gets double teamed anymore. Fisher and Artest are both good shooters also.

| I actually can't decide...
Both of them are amazing shooters when coming up off the dribble from midrange, but Kobe has more of those ridiculous incredibly contested fadeaways in two people's faces...so midrange I give to Kobe
Both can hit open 3s...but an almost 10% higher three point percentage gives Pierce the edge over Kobe to me. Pierce shot 3.7 a game, 41.4%. Kobe shot 4.1 a game, 32.9%
Free throws...well percentages is the only way to determine this, where Pierce shoots the higher percent (not by much...85% for Pierce with 81% for Kobe)
Pierce: 2 Kobe: 1
So Pierce should get the vote, right? WRONG! The fact that any shot Kobe ever puts up has a high chance of going in is incredible. Kobe can put up a contested double teamed fadeaway three pointer, and you really never laugh and say "That was a dumb shot" until the ball actually hits off of the rim with Kobe. He can make the most ridiculous shots during the game and even in the clutch, and can bail his team out of a short-shot-clock situation with a seemingly ugly and bad shot that will go in.
So I really don't pick either of them....maybe a slight edge to Kobe but imma stay neutral on this one.
