And now with kobe aging. cut his minutes and let Gilbert be "poor man kobe" on the court at times.

Look at what Phil did with Artest, Kobe, and what he's going to do with Barnes.
One thing that Phil Jackson does real good is getting guys commited to the team and keep their cool.

If Arenas can get traded to LA before PJ leaves... why not?

Kobe has bad games. When he does, Gasol is the usual one to step in. That means most of the production comes inside from Bynum/Gasol/Odom. Get another beasty perimeter offensive player and there's no way they can stop all that at one time.

On the defensive side, Arenas isn't lazy like most people are. That's what's so good about LA's D, they work harder than everyone else out there. GA doesn't slack off on defense.
