What the hell does that mean, that he'll hold his own against Hakeem AND find ways to contribute with his defense??? You think Russell will score on Hakeem? LMAO. Yes, a 6'9 guy that weighs about as much as a typical shooting guard is going to score on arguably the only center capable of containing Shaq one-on-one.

As for Malone vs. McHale, Malone is a choker who is being guarded by THE premier defender of the early-to-mid 80's, and will have to guard him when he possessed the biggest array of post moves of any player.

I agree... but it's 8-7 Ryan.

Everyone's answers are lacking detail so it's hard to persuade anyone.

But... it is what it is.

It's a close match up. Ryan has a great team. I know mine is better... so I can't complain too much.

My deciding factor was the bench. Starting line-up is even or kinda better Nick's, but Rayn's bench is great and overcomes. I like McHale and Hakeem in the same team tho. Great post game.

+1. Nick's team is better.

I'm not too fond of his choking tendancies in the past...Karl Malone that is.
He has great career stats...but if he was going up against Nick's stacked roster...I could imagine him choke in that type of situation as well.

I won't even go into the matchups because I don't know if match ups are a best way to determine which team is better in this case (its helpful sometimes though). But considering that Malone is one of Ryan's stronger players for his roster and knowing his history with choking...that could be problematic. And Rodman is pretty sick...but I am not sure if he could be strong enough to compensate for Malone's "shortcomings".

Plus, I like the overall team defense of Nick's roster better which could be sufficient enough to shut down some of Ryan's players such as his shooters (e.g. Reggie Miller and if he is not shooting; then I don't see him contributing much in other areas). That could also apply to Chauncey Billups as well. I like how he combined just the right amount shooters with a sufficient amount of defenders and I like the range of the team overall. Not to say that this is missing in Ryan's team...but I just feel that Nick's team was better compiled. I love the SFs for Ryan's team though...but overall I prefer Nick's roster and what its capabilities are.

Sorry my thoughts are all over the place (all these things were going through my head when deciding who to vote for hahaha)...but with that, I choose Nick's team.
