Who are the greatest perimeter defenders in the history of the NBA?

Well,i'm planning to write an article on this topic and i need ideas....

I'm thinking of this

1.Scottie Pippen
2.Sidney Moncrief
3.Dennis Johnson
4.Gary Payton
5.Bruce Bowen
6.Shane Battier
7.Ron Artest?
8.Michael Jordan
9.Walt Frazier
10.Any other ideas?Jerry West?Kobe Bryant?

Give me your thoughts and answers...

By the way,do perimeter and man to man defense are the same thing or totaly different from each other?Very important for me.I need to write articles...

You forgot Joe Dumars, Michael Cooper and especially Bobby Jones.

But wasn't Joe Dumars,perhaps the best man to man defender

What about Tayshon Prince?

Im not sure about alltime..but hes great at it. his stats dont say so but thats the same with most truly great defenders...he's slow looking sometimes but lookin at the gamelogs he slowed down kobe and lebron this season...quite a bit.

I would drop both Battier and Bowen.

Bobby Jones was an 11x All Defense member and 10 of those he was on 1st team.

NBA champ, Sixth man of the year and an athletic defensive stopper who could guard PG's to PF's at 6-9 and 210 pounds... he was basically Scottie Pippen before Scottie Pippen.

Bowen,he's in there too...and i put Shane,because he does amazing job on the prolific scorers,he gets my respect

I'd put Payton on top now...Pippen and Moncrief behind....though calls.

No Prince/Marion do not belong on the list...

btw Alvin Robertson should be on the list fo sho.. one of the most underrated perimeter defenders... Hell, Gary Payton said he shaped his defense after Alvin Robertson.. And not many players could average 3.7spg

Guys in bold are all in my top 10. There's only 9 because there is no one else that jumped out at me as deserving to be in the top 10 with the other 9.
