| Psh. If I must.
Clippers come up a lot, but I just don't see how Melo doesn't find his way to NY.

| Nope lol.
That could be one heck of a trade, though. Melo, JR, and K-Mart for __________. Definition of blockbuster.

| Yea I want to see him on Clippers too. They can make a much better offer than NYK's shitty offer... they could offer Gordon/Kaman/picks or something | |

| even if Denver doesn't trade him to NY he's a FA and will wait it out until the summer and then sign to NY. I think he will end up coming to NY one way or another. | |

| Rockets.
after they traded Ariza, they said they went through with that trade because they had a better one in mind. Then a couple of days ago it was reported that HOU moved to the top of Melo's list.
they also have what the Nuggets want.

I kind of think so too. I'm not sold on Melo even getting traded this year. And if he doesn't, hello NY.

| yep this is one I honestly think NY is in the driver's seat in. With that whole LBJ23 to NYC hysteria I was one of a select few that never really thought James would be going there. I was wrong about Amar'e and Johnson though caught me off guard. I think Melo in NYC would happen though. | |

| this should kind of concern fans that are gonna get Melo though
Mark Kiszla of The Denver Post: "The task of receiving anywhere near market value for Carmelo Anthony in trade only figures to be more difficult with a growing perception the 6-foot-8 Denver forward is more interested in winning an Oscar than an NBA title. As a league executive told me: Anthony used to bleed basketball. But if you opened him up now and looked inside, what could be found closest to the player's heart? A love of the game? Or the desire to be a Hollywood star? As teams from New Jersey to Los Angeles respond to not-so- subtle hints from the Nuggets that the trade market for Anthony is open for bidding, it's time to ask where the cracks in the relationship between Denver and its star scorer began. Signs point to last summer, when Anthony switched representation for his business interests to Creative Artists Agency, whose more famous clients have included Derek Jeter and Julia Roberts. It should be noted that LaLa Vazquez, a former MTV personality and Anthony's wife, also joined CAA as part of the deal."

| NY has been in the right direction the last 2 1/2 yrs with Walsh. What's holding us back is that we are still headed by the incompitent reigns of James Dolan's ownership. It's pretty hard to think NY can ever win another title with him as owner. It's been hell trying to run him out of town fans have gone to games shouted out Dolan sucks or fuck Dolan chants brought in pink slips calling for his dismissal and yet he has held on because of the large shares he owns in Cablevision on MSG Network (Knicks broadcaster) as well as MSG itself. However how much longer can he hold on his name has been surrounded with controversies on top of controversies and his time of being owner may be coming to a close. Hopefully it's the start of the Donald Trump or Rudy Guliani era for the Knicks.
Donnie Walsh has done a fantastic job getting rid of the terrible contracts signed by Thomas and cancerous players as well. We have a lot of young and rising talent that Melo would be foolish not to sense and despite all the decades long mess that GM Scott Layden create and Thomas perpetuated the Knicks are still a legendary franchise with a storied history and some great teams. A decade ago we were a championship caliber team and MSG was electric. Since our rough patch the allure isn't the same and our management has been seen as the laughingstock that it is but bundles of people continue to go to Knicks games and sell out the Garden. The fact that Walsh is bringing some stability back and grooming one of NY's greatest scorers Allan Houston as his successor to me shows that better days are ahead.

| What Bear down put is very interesting, maybe that's why he wants to go to New York for a "bigger" career, and not just in basketball, but in every aspect of enterainment as well? maybe?
I don't know, my brain hurts from school just starting, but I think that he's going to New York, second Houston, third possiblity Clippers.

| If they'd have to let go out Noah. Rose Korver/Brewer Melo Gibson Boozer That's a sick line-up, but everyone has to contribute on the boards because they're pretty undersized. | |

| yeah. theyd have no center. and thatd suck balls. taj would get destroyed some nites.
and something tells me they'd even have to give up taj to get melo.
which means james johnson would play.
and he would get CRUSHED.

| They'd still have Deng, right? Because that would be bullshit if they had to give up Deng, Noah, and Taj. Just wouldn't be worth it. | |

| The best realistic offer that I've seen for Chicago is Melo for Deng, Gibson, Johnson, one or two first round picks | |

That would suck. numbers for what tho? deng's getting paid 11.34 M this season. melo is 17.15 M i'm not positive, but i'm pretty sure that chicago is about 3-4 million under the cap is it is. basically they only have to get to 80% of melo's contract to go through. 17.15/1.25=13.72 M deng + johnson + gibson = 11.34 + 1.71 +1.1 = 14.05 noah doesn't need included for it to work financially. those 3 and a pick for melo? is it worth it? idk. but the math works :S

| The Bulls won't, and they better not include Noah in the Melo deal.
Deng, Noah, Gibson, picks for Melo? WAY too much for 1 player. We'll be stuck with no good C, we lose a valuable bench player and we replace deng with Melo. A lot of people are picking the bulls to win around 50-55 games with this team. If this trade happened, we wouldn't really have anyone downlow other than Boozer, but he doesn't play D.
We would be like a Miami heat B team. No dominant C, good PF that can't play D, good SF, Good guard [Rose, Wade] and the other guard doesn't really matter. But lets be honest, LBJ is better than Melo, Bosh is better than Boozer and Wade is better than Rose. Their big men would be better than ours and I guess the bench is even... kinda. We would still be a playoff team, but I wouldn't give the Bulls more than 48-50 wins.
Deng/Gibson/Johnson/picks for Noah would work for me though... but it wouldn't work for the Nuggets. They can easily get a better deal than that.
