Who is more inspiring to you?

Malcolm X or Muhammad Ali?

to me both of them are no less than a hero. Malcolm X is more inspiring to me. What you guys think?

Malcom X did some amazing shit. But if I'm not mistaken, he broke the law.. and he did most of his work for muslims(correct?) so Imma take Muhammad Ali.

Well, Mohammed Ali is the most iconic figure in sports right now. In the Civil Rights Movement, MLK was more iconic than Malcom X. Both are very inspiring but I'm gonna go with Ali.

Malcolm X was a little too...radical for my taste, in addition to quite a few gang connections. You can't deny his civil rights/historical impact, but I admire Ali more.

I don't want to send this thread off topic, haha. But I think Jordan and Tiger Woods are the most iconic right now.

Malcolm was a bit radical yes but sometimes, you have to push the boundaries a little bit to get your message across and I respect him for doing whatever it took to express his sentiments.

On a side note, that Malcolm X movie was awesome. If you have not seen it...GO WATCH IT!

With Denzel, yeah that movie was really good. It sucked when he got shot like a million times though.

I'd have to disagree. A peaceful protest is the only sucessful protest, and Malcolm had the wrong ideas. Black people are not superior to Whites. No race is superior over any other. Violence seems to me a primitve form of argument.

I respect your opinions though.

I understand where you are coming from.

Well, the part of claiming one race as superior over the other was kinda bold/outlandish (for lack of a better word) but I totally respect his confidence . I am a fan of radical protests but I agree with you with the race thing; every race is different but difference should be recognized and respected, not ranked.

PS. The part where he got shot saddened me.
