Exhibit 25
WHO WROTE IT: Leslie Pinkston
OCCUPATION: COO, Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri
THE GIST
Pinkston worked as an assistant to former DC mayor Anthony Williams and she got to work with Gilbert personally with his Zero to Hero foundation. She found him to be “extremely kind hearted, genuine, witty, and most importantly passionate about helping others.

Gilbert would often do his charity activities and would pack his car with items he’d give stuff away. Gilbert also became a surrogate brother/father to a young boy after a fire (Exhibit 21 is the letter from him), and did it on his own, not because anyone told him to.

Exhibit 26
WHO WROTE IT: Dana Pump
OCCUPATION: Founder, Harold Pump Memorial Foundation in Los Angeles
THE GIST
The Foundation raises funds for cancer prevention and research in Northridge Hospital in LA. Gilbert was always a strong supporter for the foundation, and is the “only celebrity or professional athlete to donate” even though many such people attended their events. Gilbert also has attended many of those events despite not playing for the Lakers or Clippers and always was a great guy.

Exhibit 27
WHO WROTE IT: Miles Rawls
OCCUPATION: Police Officer, but also runs the George Goodman summer basketball league
THE GIST
Rawls first met Arenas when he played in the league. He helped donate some fiberglass hoops and baskets and also donated money for football equipment for Rawls’ pee wee football team.

Exhibit 28
WHO WROTE IT: Roy Settles, Jr.
OCCUPATION: Principal of Judith A. Resnik ES in Gaithersburg, MD, located in Montgomery County which is directly north and west of Washington, DC
THE GIST
Arenas and his Gilbert Scores for Schools program helped donate money for new microphones, cameras, and audio equipment in the 2006-2007 academic year. He believes his incident is a “teachable moment,” and he can help others not to do the same.

Exhibit 29
WHO WROTE IT: Will Sherlin
OCCUPATION: Gilbert’s former literary agent for an autobiography that was scrapped.
THE GIST
He edited his autobiography, now scrapped, but says that he has “unique insight into [his] character.” Along with what many have said about his good deeds, Sherlin defines it as “he has done far more good for our city than he has harm.”

Exhibit 30
WHO WROTE IT: Willie Stafford
OCCUPATION: Executive Chef at Delta’s Soul Food, Inc. in New Brunswick, NJ
THE GIST
He knew Gil for ten years, and says he is a “reliable, dependable, well respected individual”
Exhibit 31
WHO WROTE IT: Robert Suller
OCCUPATION: Equipment Manager, Washington Wizards
THE GIST
Besides seeing a guy who works his butt off, Gilbert was very charitable. Suller has a daughter who has Angelman syndrome which will not let her walk and will not allow her to live an independent life. In 2007, Gilbert donated his entire playoff bonus to him so they could buy a minivan to accommodate his daughter’s needs. In 2009, he also helped Suller financially by getting them to a conference about the syndrome. Gilbert constantly asks about her and wants to know how she’s doing.

Exhibit 32
WHO WROTE IT: Denise Trotter
OCCUPATION: Works for Family Services Institute
THE GIST
Gilbert should be allowed to “talk about the dangers of guns” to kids all over the area, rather than get jail time. This letter was apparently faxed, much of the letter is unreadable, but I made that out.

Exhibit 33
WHO WROTE IT: Gilbert Arenas
OCCUPATION: The basketball player
THE GIST
This letter was written by him to the schools part of his Gilbert Scores for Schools program, and part of his Zero to Hero foundation. It is an apology for his actions, and that he wants to be a better role model for the future. He realizes that he made a “mistake, a serious mistake” and that he let Mr. Pollin down. This letter was done on his own volition, not because the lawyer told him to.

Exhibit 34
WHO WROTE IT: Nardos King
OCCUPATION: Principal of Mount Vernon High School of Alexandria, VA of Fairfax County, which is south of DC, just south of Arlington
THE GIST
This is a handwritten note to Gilbert thanking him for his candor in Exhibit 33. Though she is not happy with his decision, she still gives him an open invitation if he wants to come and speak to the kids.

EXHIBITS 35-56 ARE NEWS ARTICLES RELATING TO HIS SUSPENSION, GUILTY PLEA, NBA ACCOMPLISHMENTS, AND ARTICLES RELATING TO OTHER NBA PLAYERS WHO WERE SUSPENDED FOR GUN OFFENSES.

Exhibit 57
WHO WROTE IT: Gilbert’s defense team
THE GIST
The attorney gives his own statement that Gilbert “is a truly good-hearted man” and that he was cordial to all people he has met during “the stressful circumstances of [the gun] situation.” Sure his actions were wrong, but his good deeds “provide important context for the sentencing”. Again, the attorney stresses Gilbert’s community service and that court mandated service would be more valuable as a deterrent to others than incarceration.

Well, remember, this is Gilbert's defense lawyer putting in the info to help him stay out of jail and stay with the Wizards.
