Second, the Wizards now have approx. an additional $8.9 million in LeBron money.
So here's the trade again in summary, which failed on the Trade Machine b/c apparently Gooden can only be traded separately, but here it is:

New Wizards
Zydrunas Ilgauskas ($11.5 million in LeBron money)
Al Thornton ($1.9 million in LeBron money)
Draft rights to Emir Preldzic, who was originally picked up by Phoenix in the 57th pick of the 2009 NBA Draft
Cavaliers 1st round pick in 2010 NBA Draft

Wizards give up $4.5 million in LeBron money, get $13.4 million in LeBron money back, which is a net gain of $8.9 million in LeBron money. We now have some money to re-sign Mike Miller, and get David Lee perhaps. LeBron is still not a Wizard yet.


New Antawns
Antawn Jamison ($11.6 million in Antawn money)
Sebastian Telfair ($2.5 million in LeBron money)

Cavs give up $11.5 million in LeBron money, gain 2.5 million, but lose 9 million in LeBron money in the process. Getting Antawn costs them 9 million essentially, and he will be the Cavs franchise player should LeBron be a Wizard in 2010.

New Clippers
Drew Gooden ($4.5 million in LeBron money)

LA gives up $4.4 million in LeBron, and take up a little more of his money. I have no idea why they got Gooden, who was pissed to be a wizard for one day, and he'll be more pissed to be here for the rest of the season. Sending Gooden to LA basically was a fuck you from the Wizards because he slighted them. I'm laughing, though we really could have used his size since our team is now pretty loaded at swingman with Mike Miller, Josh Howard, and now Al. Howard AND Thornton also can be core players for the future along with Miller if they all play well for the rest of the year.. I don't anticipate Z wearing a Wizards uniform, because he has been the face of the Cavs franchise before LeBron, and even after to tell you the truth. It's likely we're buying him out. It's not fair for him not to win the 2010 NBA Finals with Antawn.
