It's different when the center is 24 years old going up against a prime Top 10 PF, a Top 10 worthy Center, and Lamar Odom, who's just a beast. And not to mention, how long those 3 players were.

Andrew Bynum: 7 ft.
Pau Gasol: 7 ft.
Lamar Odom: 6 ft. 10 in.

Oh, and do you realize how soft Howard had to go? Do you expect SVG to allow Dwight go agressive, and take the risk of picking up fouls and letting Gortat play Center in the Finals? No, you don't.
