NO, a win isn't a win in preseason. For preseason its not about winning!! its about seeing where players fit and giving the bench a chance...... if the celtics wanted to win, they'd have the starters playing the 4th quarter.

It's not called "annihilate" when you win by 5 points. It's called a close game. Look that up in your vocabulary.

Also it's not like the Celtics were undefeated or anything, upsets happen. That's the way things work in the NBA. For example a couple days ago the Warriors blew out the Lakers but the next game against them they lost.

My point is that it's not so amazing that the Knicks beat the Celtics because it was only one game and you're acting like the Knicks are gonna go 82-0 just because they beat one good team. And yes, it is just a preseason game.

Lol there were stints in that game that the Knicks did own Boston, but like last year we gave up big leads in this game preseason or not. A win in preseason isn't a big deal, but preseason should be used to address the problems a team faced a season ago and the Knicks biggest problem was giving up leads in crutial situations down the stretch. Knicks lost a league leading 18 regular season games last year by less than a 5 point margin. Who knows what would have happened if they won most of them. They were in the playoff race a long time would have been longer if they could just have sealed games. Oh well great effort against Boston & NY already proved we can beat Boston in a regular season game.

Remember last year when Wilson Chandler went off against Boston in a Knicks victory? Anyways, this year Boston looks like it improved with Rasheed & Marquis, but Knicks look like they improved too and keep in mind Boston has had issues with run n gun teams in the past. Remember Atlanta & Chicago in the playoffs?
