| They seem to have some talent, and played really well a couple of seasons ago. They just can't seem to be consistent. How long away do you think it'll be before they make the playoffs again? |

| When they've decided who is their starters and whos going to get what minutes. Don Nelson was all over the place last year, playing Morrow 40 minutes one night, and 8 the next. The same goes for all the other young players. Hopefully we can establish a consistent rotation by mid season. | |

| Good answer man, good to hear a fans point of view. I don't know that much about the Warriors to be honest, so I'm trying to learn a bit |

| Once they get DEFENSE.
For example, look at my Denver Nuggets as a comparison.
Two seasons ago, the Nuggets and Warriors were fighting for the 8th seed. They both had an all-offense style of play. The Nuggets eventually won the GAMES, getting 50 wins and the playoff spot, but then got swept by the Lakers who played good defense.
The next season, the Nuggets changed their gameplan from all offense to a good mix of offense and defense. They got the 2nd seed and made it to the Western Conference Finals while the Warriors stayed all-offense and didn't make the playoffs.
Once the Warriors learn how to play defense, the playoffs are guarenteed.

| When Don Nelson hires away Tom Thibodeau (did I spell that right?) to teach his team how to play effective D. They're set on offense with Monta Ellis and newer guys like Randolph and Curry; it's defense that's the problem for them. | |

| Nellie's problem since he stepped on a basketball court, nearly half a century ago has always been defense. I think he even knows it. The tandem of Ellis and Curry is going to be electric on the offensive side of the ball; I just hope he realizes it's going to be a major problem on the defensive side of things. |

| The Warriors are loaded on offense. Their problem has always been D. They need to get more of a defensvie mind set | |

Last year they were one of the best teams at forcing TO's and they led the league in blocked shots... It's just they're a terrible rebounding team so the other team always CRUSHES them on the offensive boards.

It's just they're a terrible rebounding team so the other team always CRUSHES them on the offensive boards. They gave up 112 points per game last season, ranking dead last in the NBA No defense

| And also, rebounding is a part of defense. A defensive rebound ends the other team's posession. If they don't get the rebound, they aren't stopping the posession, thus not playing enough defense. | |

| Exactly, I'm agreeing with you on that. Rebounding is the only thing the Dubs need to work on, and they need to work on it desperately. | |

| They were pretty good in 2007 and they should have made the playoffs in 2008 when they won 48 games. They seemed to be going in the right direction until Baron left and Monta go hurt in the now imfamous moped incident. 2009 was just a very bad season overall. They had a ton of injuries and no leadership at the PG positon. If Monta can step up and be a dependable PG, they should be able to get it together this season barring injuries. They have the talent in place to be to play .500+ ball. I don't know if they will make the playoffs or not, but they should be competitive.
Longterm, they need to get away from the all offense/no defense appoach. Don Nelson will probably retire in 2 seasons, and hopefully Chris Cohan sells the team (as rumored). If both of those things happen, there is nowhere to go but up. |

| Your 2008 part got me thinking.
The Nuggets made the playoffs ahead of the Warriors in the 8th spot (with 50 wins, that's ridiculous), but look what the Nuggets did.
2007-2008: All offense, no defense. 8th seed and first round sweep 2008-2009: Balanced attack of offense and defense, 2nd seed and Conference Finals
If the Warriors play defense and stay healthy, they can go far

| Yeah, the Nuggets looked like a whole different team last year with Chauncey. It shows what a difference one year can make. I think Don Nelson actually realized a little defense is important. He's getting old and lazy these days, so he decided to appoint a defensive coordinator last season. They don't need to play lock down defense, but they need to stop giving up wide open layups to the basket. Hopefully they can get back on the right track. |

| It would have to be someone good. I think they are pretty set on giving Monta and Curry the opportunity right now. Denver and Chauncey was a perfect pairing, and I don't know if the W's could pull of something like that. I'll be happy if they can play .500 ball this season and if they make the playoff that is a bonus. |
