I went on google to look at the odds of getting the first pick for all teams and found a bleacher report article, so don't quote me on this, but apparently the Wizards are projected to get the 4th pick, so if they get lucky, Williams might be available for when they pick. But that's assuming that the lottery goes as planned, and anything can happen during the lottery.
But Williams is a scorer. Nick Young can score 20 a game if he develops right as a young player, as can John Wall, as can Andray Blatche (well not all at once but you know what I mean). They also have some possible scorers who were injured in Rashard Lewis and Josh Howard. The main reason they would probably consider Williams is to be a great defensive player, but I don't think you want to use your top 5 pick for only defense, since Williams probably would not put up more than around 10 a game.
But how about that center from Turkey or whatever? I don't know his game too well but all the scouting reports say he is a physical and dominant center in the post. You could put him behind McGee and see how he does. If he can prove to be a scoring threat as well, maybe trade Blatche for some role players to fill up that pitiful Washington bench with solid players, with possibly some picks on the side.
I say give it a shot..
