Well,take it this way

1.If i start against your team i will on height or any other team that has 7-footers.

2.He's 7'2,great scorer,a lot of people consider him for the game's greatest left hand scorer and plus he's the all time leader in Field Goal Procent with 59,9%FG which means he has great shot selection

3.He's great at rebounding.Overall with his overall career,has a total of 16 330 rebounds which place him at the 5th spot on the all time lists but with 11 514 defensive rebounds he's the all time leader in defensive rebounds which means other teams cant make that much defensive rebounds with Gilmore and Russell around

4.He's awsome blocker,is phyisical presence in the post inside and is skilled shot blocker.He has long hands

Believe or not,Gilmore and Thurmond are both on the same level,Gilmore acomplished more then Thurmond with his overall basektball career but Thurmond is sliglty better player then Artis duo to skilled rebounding,passing skills and the ability to step back and hit mid range jumper

Good edtion for Durantula on his team.That's my personal call

Btw,Jabbar said that Gilmore is his best stopper.Impressive for Gilmore
