Stanley Cup Playoffs begin on Wednesday!

This Wednesday, the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs begin for the 2nd season for 16 teams looking to host that big silver thing in June.

#1 overall seed is the Vancover Canucks, and they take home the President's Trophy for a 54-19-9 regular season record.

(Oh boy, could this be another year where the team that wins the President's Trophy loses in the first round? The Blackhawks won the Cup last year but have made changes to their roster)

#2 San Jose Sharks vs.. #7 LA Kings
a/k/a the Battle of California

#3 Detroit Red Wings vs. #6 Phoenix Coyotes
(This is another match where the lower seed has fared better than the highers seed in the regular season)

#4 Anaheim Ducks vs. #5 Nashville Predators
Nashville won the regular season series here.

#1 Washington Capitals vs. #8 NY Rangers
(Though the Caps have traded to beef up the defensive units, we are 1-2-1 against the Rangers and had a 6-0 and 7-0 loss to them... at the Verizon Center. We may have home ice advantage until the Stanley Cup Finals but I won't be surprised to see us lose again in the 1st round. If that happens, Bruce Boudreau MUST be fired immediately! It's Stanley Cup or bust in DC.)

#2 Philadelphia Flyers vs. #7 Buffalo Sabres
(They were even in their regular season series)

#3 Boston Bruins vs. #6 Montréal Canadiens
(Yet again, the lower seed has a regular season advantage)

#4 Pittsburgh Penguins vs. #5 Tampa Bay Lightning
(Even in the regular season. The Pens still don't have Sidney Crosby, who was out with a concussion for the last 41 games of the season, and he won't be back until maybe the 2nd round of the playoffs if they win it. The Pens also have the most wins in the Eastern Conference but because the vast majority of their losses weren't in OT they had the same amt of points as the Flyers, and lost in tiebreakers. Division champions are guaranteed the first three seeds.)

I can't believe CHI went from champs to clinching a spot on the last day of the season.

Our O is pretty good... so I'm hoping that can carry us.. but I doubt it will.

For the Caps, Semin got the game winning goal a few minutes to go in the first OT and the Caps win 2-1!!!!

In the other eastern playoff match tonight, Pittsburgh beat TB 3-0

for the Western playoffs

Detroit beat Phoenix 4-2

Two more games still in the works. Vancouver is beating Chicago 2-0, 1st period ended, and Nashville is beating Anaheim 1-0 with about halfway through the period.

You don't watch much hockey. When you do, you root for the capitals. The blackhawks aren't in the capitals conf. so they can't really do anything to them unless they meet for the stanley cup. That's doubtful because CHI was the 8th seed facing the #1 overall seed [a team that could beat WAS in the finals if they meet]. The blackhawks were down 0-3 and could have come back to win the series.. that would have been the 4th time in NHL history that has happened.

Like I said before, you always disagree with w/e I say. I feel like even if I say something you agree with, you find something to disagree with... like, "I agree with that, but..."

Everytime I just post something random that I like or some shit [like stuff in the past about Rose, the bulls, etc.], you go in there are try making a problem out of it. So you obviously do have a problem. If it happened every once in a while, i would just think u disagree with certain things. nope.

Hockey in America isn't very popular, period. There's a good chance that if you walk up to anyone on the street and ask them if they watch hockey, they'll say no. If they say yes, chances are they only watch their team. 100 million people watched the last superbowl. 7.5 million watched the stanley cup.

A survey was done, and it showed that a LARGE % of the people that do watch hockey are white. So the chances of walking up to a black guy and having him say he watches hockey is very low.

But does ALL tha mean YOU don't watch hockey? no. Why do I think you don't watch much of it? Because you never talk about it. And when you do, you don't seem to know much about it. I don't watch it much either.. only about 20 blackhawk games a year. That's why that now they're out, idc what happens.

Well you said u liked him because of the cummunity service..I was just saying that he did it because he was forced..which might have changed your opinion on him. So I felt that was stupid to like him for that reason, because its not like he's doing it just because..
