| Devin harris might not stick around though if this trade goes through.
Portland has shown interest in Harris earlier this year, and the Nuggets have shown interest in Batum. Seeing that the Nuggets think Ty Lawson is their PG of the future, I see DEN offering Harris and one of those picks for Batum and bench players.

I don't think that really matters to the Nets or Melo' this season. It'll be the first time he's had a post season rest since he's entered the league.

| If Melo agrees then Murph and one of the picks are getting traded to a third team apparently. | |

| Both Melo and the Nets know that nothing is gonna happen this season or even next season in terms of winning a lot of games.. They'll try to sell Melo on the idea of bringing in D. Will or CP in 2012... it'll be easier to do since they'll be in Brooklyn | |

Hmmm...which one is better for the Nuggets? Both deals are good for the nuggets and both the Nets and the Knicks would be giving up too much. KNICKS:Replace Felton with Billups. Felton has been better than Billups this season, but the knicks only signed him to a 2 year contract for a reason. They weren't planning on keeping him after 2012 anyway. Billups' contract also expires in 2012. Who's a FA in 2012? D. Will and CP. So this evens out. They will replace either Gallo or Chandler with Melo. Melo is a lot better than both of those guys... so that's an instant upgrade. Basically the knicks are losing either gallo or chandler, Curry [who doesn't play anyway] and a 1st round pick. When trading for an all-star like Melo who is still in his prime, you'll have to give up more than you'd like. NETSLosing Favors and Murphy for 3 scrub bigs. Murphy wasn't gonna be in NJ after this year anyway, but Favors was looking pretty decent in NJ and may end up being a great player. The guys [ely, balkman] replcaing Favors and Murphy won't be in NJ after this season and won't do much for them this season. So who'll be playing PF for the Nets next year? If they can't bring anyone in, it'll be Kris Humpries. They lose Harris for Billups. Harris is younger and has a lot of trade value. Billups won't be that much of an upgrade... he may not be an upgrade at all. NJ could have traded Harris for some young talent. And then 4 1st round picks for Melo. Of those 4 first round picks, 3 will most likely be lottery picks. I think one of those is the Nets first round pick, one is from the Warriors, and 2 are from the rockets. So the Nets are losing a fuck ton and will be screwed in the future. They won't be able to build their team through the draft, and they would have to hope that Melo and Lopez win enough games to convince some nice free agents to come to Brooklyn. So both teams are giving up a lot.. like I said... but I think the Knicks would be in better position than the Nets in the future.

| ^^^Good analysis. I think the Nets are giving up way to much, but they're looking for star power really. They want someone who can sell tickets then build a team after. That's what it seems like - and I think the Knicks want to win ASAP. Carmelo would be smart to wait on the Knicks anyway that he can, even though I'd like to see him in a Net uniform also. I think it's time to turn the franchise around over there. But if Melo is smart as I think he is, he'll be a Knick either this year or in the summer. | |

| Knicks have a trade in place, 3-way trade involving the Timberwolves
Nuggets recieve Raymond Felton Danilo Gallinari Wilson Chandler 1st Round Pick from Minnesota (Pretty much a Lottery pick if you ask me)
Knicks recieve Carmelo Anthony Chauncey Billups + 1 Reserve player (for salary/roster space purposes, not decided yet)
Timberwolves recieve Anthony Randolph Eddy Currys expiring $11.2 Million contract
and NY will sign Melo to a 3-year $65 million dollar contract extension and is expected to happen before Tuesday possibly in the next 24-48 Hours its a win-win situation for everyone
Knicks get a prolific scorer and one of the best scorers in the league if not the best (i said if not, not he is) and a experienced PG who i think is better than Felton though is going to need to learn the style of play D'Antoni runs...
if the Nuggets throw in JR Smith as that reserve hahahaaha! i wish
The T-Wolves always waste their draft picks so it dosen't matter.
Nuggets get two very young players both under 23 who have proven their potential unlike Favors who the nets where going to trade to nuggets
i hope this pans out! ! ! but im going to miss GALLO
