Brandon Roy set to return this Friday....

Although it won't be a starting role right off the bat he is scheduled to make his return this Friday. He's participated in contact practices after being sidelined since Dec and undergoing experimental surgery that a player has never went through until they have retired. Although it's a ballsy move on his part and Portland who are fending off teams for the 8th spot they currently hold, do you think it's the right move? Camby will make his return this week as well. Are the Blazers taking too much of a risk.

I don't know is it a right move,but hopefully Roy will be able to return to himself

He averaged 20/5/5 and has been a top 3 SG

Hopefully his career isn't over and he becomes the best shooting guard in the NBA

Might as well take the time to make a full recovery.
Not like the Blazers have a legit shot at the championship this year anyway; so why exert himself so quickly. Rest up and make a comeback when its appropriate.

I also think it's too soon.

I mean.. he had surgery on both knees like 3 weeks ago.

If I were him, I would just sit out the season and come back 100% next year.

Only reason to come back is to hold on to the 8 seed over Memphis...

but Matthews and Fernandez may end up being able to do more for the Blazers in the second half of this season anyway. Roy should seriously consider his health. I applaud his bravado in trying to come back so soon, but also question whether or not he's thought this through. I don't think he, nor the Blazers, should have any plans of him playing this season.

He should wait, the team isn't in need of him. He should wait and come back closer to playoff time - but you know how true ballers are. We want those minutes, it hurts to sit on the side and watch everyone else have the play.
