Ron Artest asks for trade...

Is this true? Post a link? I wanted him traded anyway...

If we could get Tayshaun Prince in a deal that would be sweet... but I don't see why anyone would want Ron.

Ron Artest for Roger Mason JR make it happen haha. On second thought Knicks are doing very well right now. Artest may like to be back home in his home city, but I don't want any distractions. And Artest in NYC is a major distraction.

He's only played in 10 games this season though so I can't complain. Anywho he's averaging a whopping 0.4 PPG in 8 mpg and shooting a beastly 6.4% from the field

that means nothing. he very well could want a trade.

if you read what he said, that doesn't sound like a man that wants to be traded. It sounds like a man that wishes he was more involved in the offense, but understands why he isn't... so he's cool with it.

him wanting to be traded was a rumor... not often are rumors correct.

But Artest isn't the problem for the Lakers, and even if he did get traded it's doubtful they'd receive anything back that would be a difference for the team. The Lakers just need a new PG. Derek Fisher had his time, now it's time to move on. Hinrich is an OK option, but they need somebody more along the lines of Raymond Felton or Jrue Holiday, a young PG who can defend but also score when needed too.

Artest is more of a problem for LA than Fisher(Fisher isn't a problem btw)...

Artest got 3 years 22mil left on his contract and is averaging 8 PPG and shooting a terribly low percentage. Hes not tradeable
