When talking about All time point gaurd,its very rare that this guy is remembered.

I mean
he had a
21 points
14 assists
4.5 rebounds
2.3 steals

in one season,

Im not saying this guy is The BEST pont gaurd ever,but IMO,he is underated a bit.

Thoughts?

he's rated just fine. when people talk about the Top 5 PG's of all time, his name is usually included. Usually behind Magic and Stockton. And can you really argue with those guys being ahead of him?

He is ALWAYS 2nd-4th.

No not underrated at all.

I think the slight reason he gets overlooked is because a lot of non informed/younger fans (not RBT'ers tho) only know Thomas from him being a bad GM and coach and all the crazy stuff that Thomas has been involved with like the collapse of the CBA/the Anucha Browne Sanders sexual harassment lawsuit/his drug overdose... which he tried to cover up by claiming it was his 17 yr old daughter/the state of the New York Knicks franchise at his helm/spreading the rumor that Magic Johnson contracted HIV from gay intercourse... and so on.

Even with all of that said, you can't underrate Isiah Thomas as a player... now as a person... thats up to you.

Some argue him as better than Magic...but Stockton better than Isiah?

Not at all.Some have him as the best Point Guard ever which is a no surprise for me and he's always around 2nd to 5th in the PG debate and in top 5 guards to ever play in the NBA,period....

Very rare? I've seen him in just about every top 5 list. Usually only Magic and Stockton are ahead of him (Robertson occasionally takes the 3rd slot).

The lists that i see often have Isiah in front of Stockton while the Big O is usually 2nd
