| Unless someone comes from nowhere, it'll be Dwight Howard, Josh Smith, or Rajon Rondo.
Gerald Wallace won't win it. The Bobcats team defense won't be as good as it was, and that was a big reason he was so high last year. Artest would have to have a big turnaround. LeBron getting it would be a fail, and the award would no longer hold any value.
So for players with outside shots at the award are Andrew Bogut, Anderson Varejao (going to play enough minutes to get consideration this year, but team defense must still be good), and Shane Battier (who's minutes could see a big increase with Ariza gone). I guess I put G-Force here too, just because he had the 3rd most points last season. Hard to see him having a huge drop off since he is a truly great defensive player.
Dwight Howard is the heavy favorite. Here's the chances I see for each player:
Howard: 75% Smith: 15% Rondo: 5% Bogut: 1% Varejao: 1% Battier: 1% Wallace: 1% Other: 1%

| Battier would play about his normal amount of minutes remember Courtney Lee has played a career total of 29 MPG in his career. | |

| Josh Smith Lebron (OMG HE GETS ONE BLOCK A GAME)
Dwight, Lebron, Smith will probably be the only people receiving votes...

Lee is only 6'5" though. Not a very big SF. And you don't really want to run Martin at SF either because he's terrible defensively. Then again, they have Chase Buddinger too (even though he's not very good defensively either...), so moot point. Plus, Lee's 29 minutes came for the worst team in the league. I still believe Battier will see more minutes.

| \Actually he played 25 MPG and started on the Magic as a rookie and then played 33.5 MPG with the worst team in the NBA last year. But your right he makes for a small SF. | |
