Advice (not Bron-type girl advice)

I got no one to turn to.


I have 3 friends in a band..I jammed with the guitarist and drummer and they want me to be the new bassist, instead of the other guy..and I want to be

But I don't want to lose my friendship with the other dude..we're good friends and even though it's not really my fault he's been playing bass for 2 years with lessons and I started a few months ago with no lessons (but guitar experience)

He won't have a reason to be mad at me but he still will be. Like when my ex told me she liked someone else, I disliked that person even though he had nothing to do with it


I'm pretty sure Jaleesa will be the only one to give me a good answer

Okay, I always thought you were actually 13 before, but I'm not so sure. If you're 13, then you're right, he's going to be mad at you, and he might stay made at you. Younger teenagers are aren't mature enough to deal with some things. On the other hand, if you're older, it's a lot more possible he can deal with it. In either case, it's possible that he values your friendship over the the band position. He should respect that you want to be in the band, too. It'd be nice if you suggested he be in the band also, but if that's not possible, then he's got to understand. If he's a real friend, he'll still be your friend either way.
