| Tony, Farmy is pretty bad lol. He just didn't like the triangle and I think that affected him most. Like someone already said, he's quick and he CAN play hard so I hope he'll do much better in NJ.
I don't necessarily miss him because I thought he was a great player. He's a bruin ))):

I want to try an Ivy League school, but I'm afraid of rejection. haha. My sister got into Cornell and her stuff is pretty similar to mine, but idk. I am getting mail from Ivy League schools though. Harvard sent me an application packet. But I think they just send that to everyone with a standarized test score over a certain number. If I decide to apply Ivy League, Columbia Cornell
I've decided to major in Psychology, and thanks. I hope I get in too!

I've decided to major in Psychology, and thanks. I hope I get in too! What year is your sister in J? Does she know a Josh Morales? Cause that's my dude, been my friend since early childhood. Anyways, man I got into UPENN when I first applied but didn't like the campus all that much. I got waitlisted into Duke that was my top choice of colleges and in the end I decided not to wait and took the scholarship offered to me @ Grinnell. Later on I found out that I didn't get into Duke so I made the right decision. Duke is a great school and there's but like a lot of NC schools what they mostly take is their own, which are NC students. It's right of you to apply to that many schools and have other options. Now that I'm transferring into Xavier University, which is a little bit closer to home back East than before I had a lot of options to choose from but Xavier gave me the most money and it's in a big enough commercial center to get my major up and running. Again good luck!!!

| As a blazer fan theres so many horrible transactions to choose from but the worst one i can think of in recent history was trading down from the #3 spot to #6 in the 2005 NBA draft and selecting Martell Webster instead of staying put at 3 and selecting either Deron or Chris Paul... | |

| Tony, she got accepted to Cornell but didn't go! Crazy right? Really what it was that she was undecisive then my parents chose A&M for her. Plus they were worried about distance, and we're so used to the hot weather down here and she gets sick easily. And my parents didn't like how Cornell had like racial housing. So I don't think she knows Josh Morales. haha. She got into Duke too, that's really what's giving me hope. I like Xavier University too. I might add that to my list after a little more research. Thanks for the good luck wishes.
And what are you majoring in?

| I'm double-majoring & may double-minor wanting to take Film now. International Relations/Sociology are my majors with a minor in Psychology and Film. And hahahaha chances to know Josh Morales are not that high if she goes to A&M hahahaha cause I don't think he's ever went to TX. And about her not going to Cornell it does seem kind of crazy on the one hand and not so crazy at all as well. I kind of had sort of the same predicament but didn't like UPENN's campus and opted to go to Grinnell College. Grinnell was too far away from home and isolated from everywhere else. Minneapolis the closest commercial center to campus was like 3-4 hrs. driving. It didn't have my major as a major either. I thought going far would be great for me but I had experiences of personal growth over there and decided to transfer to Xavier. It's still a bit far out from NJ. But, all it is really is a drive through PA and a little of OH from home so that's not as far as where I was before. It may not be the same for you. Being further away may work out better for you. Seems like the better option for your sis was staying closer to home. Anyways, college is a time of personal growth you would learn and experience new things as you further your education wherever you go. Good luck And oh I forgot I got another friend she goes to Southern Methodist over there in Big Tex and she loves it. She wanted me to go there with her but I missed the application due date hahahaha. I think I'm gonna like going to Xavier it's a suburban campus within a big city with plenty to do. It also concentrates on my major as well so that's always good. Once again good luck on what your decision is it's a pretty difficult choice and some people like me have to go through it twice hahahaha and there's gonna be a 3rd time for me with grad school and all. But, since my mom and aunt went to Syracuse undergrad. I've always wanted to go to Cuse' and hope to get into it's graduate program. | |

| Oh and your right Josh tells me about the racial living situations up there in Cornell all the time. He's in a frat though so he was able to escape all that and lives in a frat house. He tells me that it's a good school though and the professors are willing to sit with you as confidants rather than just professors to help you with whatever problems you may have. That's not always the case with other Ivy's. Ithaca is also a nice, small, and friendly Upstate NY city. | |

I've decided to major in Psychology, and thanks. I hope I get in too! So you're going to be a senior? Did you take the PSAT junior year/get National Merit? Schools will throw money at you then, Texas included (they didn't for out of state students like me, sadly ). Go ahead and apply to UCLA if you want, but the timing is bad; California as a whole is going to be broke for a while. Out-of-state costs for UCLA totaled $53,000 per year when I got in, which is why I wasn't able to go without cheating on where I lived (I could've used my aunt's address/she would've given me a job so I could point to it as how I get my income living in a state different from my parents). Just go to Texas! That was my second choice after UCLA, but once again money was in the way... $40,000 a year out of state. Money kept me from going to my favorite schools... :crying: Good luck with the Ivy Leagues! Columbia was great, and Cornell is beautiful...I never understand why there are always stories about suicides there every year...

| I don't want to jeopardize any NMSC recognitions, but I'm Black, and I scored over 200. Have you heard of National Achievement? It's like National Merit but for Black people. I hope I qualify. Affirmative Action, I know. Very unfair, but I'm a fan right now. haha. You're right, they throw everything at you. My sister got offered a laptop, car, and job at a local tv station at Alabama, and all she had to do was keep a 2.5 GPA haha. She didn't even consider it because she felt if they were that desperate then the education wouldn't be as good as other opportunities she had. Were you a National Merit Scholar? Texas.. I don't really like how the campus is split over the highway. Not to mention its too big for me. I like smaller schools. I can really see myself going there though. I know at least 15 people there, and I have family in San Antonio (I live near Dallas). But right now, Duke is my goal. And out of state costs should be sick unfortunately. I'm not feeling any of Obama's grants! Haha that's crazy Tony, I love Film too, but I didn't want to get into it because of the risky job market. Not to mention I'm not that good at it. haha I just like making videos. I just found out 2 days ago about youtube's and Vimeo's video contests which ended today https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzurVmQMpRo tryout video for my school's newscast. | |

But a school that cancels classes for two days so students can go to a football team doesn't exactly speak to it as a hotbed of intellectual activity... Oooooh, I hope you get National Achievement! I have my issues with affirmative action, but hey, whatever works! It'd be no different than if I had gotten into Duke because my parents went there or something.

| Damn that's pretty cool stuff right there J. And yep that's why I'm minoring in film & majoring in International Relations/Diplomacy. I figured with how messed up things have been getting internationally that what the world needs is more people employed in the foreign service sector. And more importantly someone that would be all for trying to get things done as opposed to wasting valuable time like most diplomats in the UN does. That's why I don't want to be a diplomat in the UN as of now I want to try other organizations once I graduate but things can one day change. I figured majoring in Sociology and minoring in both Psychology and Film would make me look well-rounded and help me receive multiple opportunities within my field. I may even make documentaries of international issues we face today. I also took some bio classes after I completed my mandatory bio classes that fulfilled my requirements cause I liked bio and want to show the foreign service I can be well rounded before I even take the foreign service entry examinations. Oh and J if you decide on not going to Duke, UCLA, or somewhere else come to Jersey. Princeton University isn't too far from my aunt's house she could cook for you or something hahahhaa. | |
