| Utah is apparently close to a trade that could get them Al Jefferson from the Minnesota Timberwolves. After the departure of Boozer, they could use another post scoring presence, and apparently they might get Jefferson cheap. No word as to what they'd send back Minnesota's way, but they would apparently be using at least a large chunk of the trade exception they acquired from the Boozer sign and trade. Here's the LINK from Yahoo I'm not sure what they're giving up, but do you think Jefferson is a good replacement for Boozer and a good fit for the Jazz? | |

| Looking like they're going to use the sign & trade as an advantage, and use draft picks supposedly. Minnesota is looking to make their team younger. Probably get another 6 guards in the mix lol. | |

| It's official. ESPN text says:
"Jazz agree to acquire F Al Jefferson from Timberwolves for 2 1st-round pks and trade exception"
This next part was not in the text, but will most likely happen
"Timberwolves use their two first round picks in the 2011 NBA draft to select more PGs, and use trade exception to trade for Stephon Marbury, another PG."

| I don't think how he'll fit into the system.
The Jazz's offense is predicated on quick passes off screens, and there is no way that Al can make those passes and I doubt he will even think about passing once he gets the ball....
But I guess the Jazz just want to show Deron that the franchise is heading in the right direction since he recently said that this offseason has been frustrating because they lost Boozer and Korver, as well as traded Brewer (during the season)

| What was the use of giving Millsap all that money? Whatever...
If he can get back to his numbers in 08'-09' Al can definitely fit in with the Jazz. I actually think he'd be a better fit for that team. He has a less range than Boozer, but he's more of a banger and can score on the block well.
I'd like to see what he could do in the playoffs assuming the Jazz make it.
