Hedo will be better because of Nash and will love leaving the Raptors (because apparently really nice people and cold weather and living up to responsibility after signing a big contract scare him). Barbosa will get more playing time with the Raptors as a combo guard and give some solid scoring off the bench.

Basically the Raptors remove two heavy contracts that would have cost them $70M+ over the next 4 seasons for three that will only cost them $45M over the next 2 seasons. This move will allow them to rebuild sooner since they have more salaries coming off the books this season and net season rather than 3 or 4 years from now. Updated Rotation:

Jack/Banks
Barbosa/Belinelli
DeRozan/Weems
Diaw/Johnson
Bargnani/Chandler

This team still has a slight chance to make the playoffs next season, even with Bosh gone. They were awful defensively and a huge disappointment as a team. If the Raptors play up to talent they can finish around .500 again.

The Suns make this move in addition to adding Josh Childress and continue to get bigger and more versatile. There were supposedly some rumors that the Suns were trying to get Calderon from Charlotte somehow, but that doesn't seem like it's going to happen. With no Amare, the Suns are now bringing in a bunch of different players with different skill sets. Updated rotation:

Nash/Dragic
Richardson/Childress
Hill/Dudley
Turkoglu?/Warrick
Frye/Lopez

It remains to be seen whether or not the Suns will make another move, but they have replenished some of the talent that was lost with Amare leaving for New York. Warrick is athletic and useful off the pick and roll. Childress gives them a tall wing who is good defensively. Turkoglu is one of the more versatile offensive players in the NBA, even with the poor season last year. One problem they might have is too many small forwards. That's Hedo's true position, as well as Childress's, Hill's, and Dudley's. I don't think they're going to better than last season right now, but they might be better offensively. With Hedo as power forward they will definitely struggle defensively.

Charlotte picks up a point guard to replace the one they just lost. He doesn't exactly fit their system, but Reggie Evans definitely does. This clears playing time for Tyrus Thomas at power forward and gives them a legitimate distributor on the court. His defense will need to improve, though. Chandler isn't really a loss for them because they can essentially plug any center into their defense and have them do well enough. Nazr Mohammed and Theo Ratliff performed pretty well last season. Updated Rotation:

Calderon/Augustine
Jackson/Henderson
Wallace/Brown
Thomas/Evans
Mohammed/Diop

They're probably going to drop off this season because of a pretty poor bench and absolutely no offensive production from big men. They have two decent versatile players in Jackson and Wallace, but other than those two, that lineup doesn't really scare me defensively or offensively in any way.

I actually like the transactions.. Hedo and Calderon... thank god there gone.. and we get barbosa, more instant offense, and chandler a great defender to back up bargs... erm... or to teach bargs how to play some D.. it looks like BC is done with this euro BS... he's resembling his old team Dunno if Diaw would get time.. I hope Ed Davis and Amir one of em starts, hopefully Amir, I mean Ed should get time to earn it, and i agree that young gunz are the future, but why start em now? :S

MJ is "having second thoughts" about the trade, though. So the Jose/Evans for Diaw/Chandler might not happen...
