| It's 5 yr/100 million as well come on Donnie you are too smart to accept this absurd deal or at least your track record and past moves would indicate this don't do it. He's had microfracture knee surgery; eye injuries; is unmotivated; will never grow defensively;and right now does not even have an advantage in overall offense game compared to Lee. The rebounding is porous for a man of his build as well. And lest not forget Mike D and Amar'e had a falling out.

Poor McDyess... he was gonna be huge there. He's a good guy too. I was happy when the Knicks got him, then really sad after he blew out his knee.

Oh.... good point... er... good point guard really. As in NY doesn't have a proven one. It's well known how Nash get's you shots very very few players can consistently. Now I'm kinda' interested in seeing how Amar'e does as well without an elite point.

| A lot of Amare's plays are mainly off the pick and roll, AKA the easiest play to run in basketball. I'm sure a professional basketball player can run a play that I learned when I was 10 years old | |

| Uhhh...wasn't there some bad blood between D'Antoni and Amare back in the day, or am I thinking of someone else? Regardless, that's one hell of a contract for a guy that I don't think deserves it. Also, is this a sign that David Lee is on the way out? | |

The Pick n' Roll only works if you have to worry about the point guards ability to shoot or drive. No one is worried about Duhon shooting or driving ability... and as much as I like Tony Douglas he's still learning the ropes. If you don't have to worry about the PG than you don't have to switch off Amar'e on the roll. For the pick and roll to work effectively you need to have the players that can execute it. Plus, the pick and roll is a half court set offense. The Suns and the Knicks don't play much half court basketball. I'm also talking about driving and dishing. Finding disadvantages on offense. Alley-ops. Finding the player cutting to the rim. All of which Nash does with his eyes closed. NY doesn't have that.

NY doesn't have that. Oh shit, Nate Robinson isn't in New York anymore, is he...

NY doesn't have that. Exactly David Lee who connected a lot with Duhon and the pick n roll was the center of a lot of their plays.Once Duhon got into those dry shooting spells of his which were a lot of the time David Lee and the Knicks had to break away from running the pick n' roll and Lee would get the ball at the top of the key and run plays for others or he would be a pick n pop kind of player. The pick n roll didn't run effectively because of our PG's ineptness on the perimeter.

| Yeah, I wouldn't want Nate back either, but once he gets hot, he gets hot, and if I was an opposing defense, then I wouldn't want to risk it | |

| I can't help but think Lee can still be retained and at least experiment with a Lee/Amar'e front-court. I think this is all part of a master plan that began last off-season and Lee is in on this. I mean last season Lee was getting very antsy and felt a little betrayed and made it be known he had a meeting with Mike D and later on Donnie Walsh and he was all of a sudden okay with everything. Portland offered him more $ than we did last off-season and instead resigned with us for the 1 yr contract. Who knows maybe we have something up our sleeve. Wade just came out and said we have an intriguing platform that we hit on him I don't think we get Wade but if Wade, a superstar in this league says we have an intriguing platform that we are trying to do someone thought to be somewhat of a monarch may think so as well. | |
