| Maybe the Nets' president? As I cleverly hinted at by saying he was resigning from being Nets president. Man, being douchey can be really fun sometimes. | |

| Honestly? I'm not entirely sure. (sticks foot in mouth) More accurately, I'm not really sure where the line is between a GM and a president. The GM is the general manager, the president is the "president of basketball operations" or some shit. So, he runs the franchise...I guess? He's responsible for the bureaucracy of stuff, but can also override picks and trades the GM wants to make. We hear about David Kahn effing up on draft night...he's the president, not the GM. Meanwhile, Kevin Pritchard and Mitch Kupchak are GM's and they're making the picks. The most concrete thing is that they're the ones always mentioned in relation to freeing up cap space (i.e. Donnie Walsh in NY and Pat Riley in Miami)...but they free up that cap space by making trades, which I thought was a key responsibility of the GM. So there you go! Bet that really helped, eh? | |

| I think the President kinda overlooks everything. Like he helps with trades and helps with signing and helps with merchandise and all the sales and the arenas and that nonsense.
Everything the Nets' President didn't do. GTFO. | |

| Hey, don't be too hard on Thorn. He oversaw the Bulls' drafting Michael Jordan in 1984. You know what's really scary, though? Before draft night, Portland offered Houston Clyde Drexler (who hadn't really blossomed yet) and the No. 2 pick for Ralph Sampson. If Houston makes the trade, they have their No. 1 pick (Hakeem), their inevitable No. 2 pick (MJ) and Clyde Drexler all on the same team. Rest of the NBA: | |

| lol, yep. But being the guy who drafted Jordan still brings you respect...even though they should thank Portland for drafting Bowie over MJ first...yeah, yeah, Portland needed a big man, but COME ON, draft talent and fill your needs later... | |
