He said they told him they were picking him the day they won the lottery. Which is probably why evan turner didnt even workout for us.

I would too if I had to be on Washington... You don't have to worry about being on Washington..or any NBA team for that matter

| yeah wall and cousins looked a little too smug and didnt look happy at all... was annoying but i guess they're just super confident. (plus wall being a surefire no.1 pick helps a bit..) | |

| I'm bout to hop into this conversation, but yes John did look a bit upset. I still think he will become a great player for the Wizards. He doesn't look like a leader though, but of course people said the same about Rondo and Brooks at one point, so anything can happen.

| I don't get how him being faster than Paul or having a higher vertical leap than Kobe means that anyone is saying he's better than those players, or how that overrates him.
Stromile Swift has a better vertical than Tim Duncan and is faster than Dwight Howard.
I don't think having physical attributes better than established players means that Wall is overrated.
Can't really call player overrated unless they show that they aren't as good as advertised.
Derrick Rose was considered overrated before he stepped foot on the court too, as have many players.

| This was pretty funny to read, although I gave up around the 4th page.
My opinion on John Wall:
I think that Wall will be a good point guard in the league. He isn't the point guard type like Chris Paul that can lead a team, but hes more of a hands on point guard that still gets the stats but doesn't watch over his team. I think physical attributes wouldn't make the player like you said is faster than Chris Paul, I think he might be faster than Chris Paul, but does it really matter does that make him a better player if he can't control it like Paul? Same thing with the Kobe Bryant thing.
John Wall will get into the league, and it'll hit him hard. But after the first 20 or so games I think he'll pick it up and start to be a better player. Overall, I think he will be good in the league but I don't think he'll be Rookie of the Year. I think if anybody will be Rookie of the Year it should be Evan Turner.
He's somewhat overrated, because well we haven't seen him play yet. Although, he will be a good player in the league. I can't say he'll be great yet.

| There were 5 kentucky players drafted in th e 1st. All of them wouldn't be shit without john wall. Theres no base behind his "he's no lader" stigma that he somehow can't shak. | |

+1, that's exactly how I felt. His first posts were really good, and I was actually slightly hopeful that we'd gotten another good user...but now his recent posts have sent my hopes crashing down, restored my depression and caused the rejuvenation of my alcoholism... :crying: But still, fun posts to read!
