| Okay, here is how it's going to work: For each series, you will pick a winner and how many games it will take. For picking the winner right you will get points in an increasing amount like so: --First Round - 2 points --Conference Semis - 4 points --Conference Finals - 8 points --NBA Finals - 16 points If you pick the winner right, you will also get a bonus score for picking the correct number of games that the series lasts: --First Round - 1 point --Conference Semis - 2 points --Conference Finals - 3 points --NBA Finals - 4 points Go ahead and make your picks. Here's the bracket:

They're the defending champions for a reason. As for ESPN, they've got much more of a hard-on for LeBron and the Cavaliers than they do Kobe and the Lakers.

| They have a hard on for both. You got that loon in Stuart A. Scott who should be strapped down to a chair and pummeled repeatedly for his halftime commentating of replays and other NBA happenings and for his hard on for LeBron and the Cavs. Jalen Rose is also a tool of LBJ23's and an inarticulate one at that. Then you have Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson who are constantly on Kobe and the Lakers nuts. Thank goodness for Hubie Brown (only objective voice on there). Breen who is a Knicks commentator who should get the eff out cause he lacks opinions of his own and just goes on with whatever is being said rather than be objective just plays the field as I've said before. However, you should give these guys a resume yourself I'm sure Hubie Brown can take yet another one of his colleagues taking the on some team's nuts approach with your hiring. I understand that they are the defending champs for a reason but before they even play a game in the playoffs or a series of games it's best to not say anything at all. Especially, with the way they've been playing lately.
Take it round by round. You can say that they will advance to the semis, but to say they will go back to the Finals and win it all now without actually playing a single playoff game this season yet is hopping on their nuts if I can say so myself.

| I'm going to take this one step at a time calling the 1st Rd first and making my way through the other rounds later on.
1st Rd East:
Cavs v. Bulls (Cavs in 4 or 5) Magic v. Bobcats (Magic in 6 or 7) Hawks v. Bucks (Hawks in 5 or 6) Celtics v. Heat (Celtics in 5 or 6)
1st Rd West:
Lakers v. Thunder (May be obviously wrong but taking a chance OKC in 7) Mavericks v. Spurs (Right now I leave it at winner in 7 would have to see the 1st couple of games to determine victor) Suns v. Blazers (Suns in 6 or 7) Nuggets v. Jazz (Jazz in 7)

| In the immortal words of my good friend and Bobcats aficionado Jake the Snake Zychick one phrase and one phrase only can sum up what it means to play in the NBA Playoffs. And that phrase happens to be, "holla fo a dolla", with a dolla symbolizing respect from your other playoff peers. | |

| 1st Round: Lakers in 6 Jazz in 7 Mavericks in 6 Suns in 5 Cavs in 6 Celtics in 7 Magic in 5 Hawks in 6 Conference Semis: Lakers in 6 Mavericks in 6 Cavs in 6 Magic in 7 Conference Finals: Lakers in 7 Magic in 7 NBA Finals: Lakers in 7 in one of the best Finals in history. For the first time ever, I was almost tempted to pick against my favorite team, because they've, well, pretty much sucked lately. Banged up, no chemistry, and staggering into the playoffs...but you know what? I'm not betting against Kobe and Phil. | |
