| I'm ready to talk about some serious basketball. We all know the Rockets are eliminated from the playoffs this year... sadly, but that just means us Houstonians will look forward to not only the offseason, but the upcoming season. The starting line up will look something like this...
C: Yao/ PF: Scola SF: Ariza SG: Martin PG: Brooks
That doesn't look half bad! Now lets say the Rockets get a free agent in the offseason. Maybe Chris Bosh to take the roll of either the PF or C position.
Here is what the line-up will look like...
C: Yao/ Hayes/ Andersen/ Jefferies PF: Scola or Bosh/ Scola or Bosh/ Jordan Hill SF: Battier/ Ariza/ SG: Martin/ Budiger/ Taylor PG: Brooks/ Lowry
How menacing will the Rockets be and do you think they will be able to comepete for a title?

| Bosh is going to NY...
Rockets will be good though...
Jordan Hill has lots of potential. Jeffries is a noob/douche

| You guys should get rid of Martin first of all, then we can talk about basketball. | |

| IF the Rockets were to acquire Bosh; they could be slightly better but not a championship contender IMO. | |

| Personally I think we should try to get Carl Landry back. That would be the best team ever. I also think we should get rid of both Jefferries and Hill. I don't like them. | |

| No way the Rockets get Bosh... Unless Yao opts out and they don't resign scola... but even then I still doubt they get bosh.
but if they can stay healthy.. they can win like 50

I understand not liking Jeffries he's a chump. But why don't you like Hill? He's gonna be a very solid player in this league for years to come.

| Even if they get bosh they have no chance at a title...that lineup just doesnt look right. And this season isnt even over half of the players on the roster now wont be back.... | |

| If we get Bosh we would be unstoppable but I really want to see them get Carl landry back. I just don't understand how they could give him up instead of Scola, so Morey must have some kind of plan. | |

| Do you ever look at rockets games?
The back court combinaton with Martin and Brooks is unstoppable when shooting good. Both are great scorers and have high FT percentages. The you have the front court next year, Yao, Scola, and Ariza! Yao is a great blocker and also puts points on the boardds down low, gets rebounds, and adds size. Scola and Ariza are also capable of scoring, and Ariza is a GREAT defender.
Next you go to the bench... You have Lowry who adds touchness, Budingerr who is also a perimeter shooter, Jordan Hill adds body, Jeffries can take the charge and also has a good shot, throw in Hayes who has quick hands, there to take the charge, and can get the boards, Battier great defender.
I already know that we will be getting a high draft pick, and a free agent. On paper this looks like a great team, and by looking at how the offense is this year, It will be threatening nest year when you have all the pieces.

I agree with the fact that IF Yao Ming remains with Houston this summer that him getting back to the team and with Martin returning to HOU for a full season as well as HOU keeping the team intact that it would lead to success. However, Hill is more than a body he has a nice shot. And what you said about Jeffries other than the fact that he's good at drawing charges is totally wrong. He has no shot and thinks that he has one. Jeffries is one of the worst offensive players this game has. He misses point black lay-ups on a regular basis.

Bosh doesn't play defense; so on offense, you would be alright but you can't rely on his defense to make an impact for you guys tbh. I love Bosh and I think he is amazing but he doesn't play defense my dear!

The way he was shooting Friday, does show that he has a shot and yes he misses layups but what do you think we will be doing this offseason? Trust me the guy has a shot. To be honest I don't like Jordan Hill. I don't know why but everytime he has the ball in his hands I get nervous and 9 times out of 10 the ball is either turned over or he misses his shots. One thing.. He doesn't know how to find an opening and throw it down.

| Yeah there are holes in his game, but he is just a rookie and we never gave him that much time on the court since he was playing behind 20+ PPG scorers in Lee/Harrington and a 20/12 guy in Lee. HOU has given him more minutes and he's done better from what he did in NY where he was unable to showcase what he does well or what he doesn't do particularly well so it can be addressed and modified with maturity in the league.
Jeffries on the other hand in the 5-6 years he's been in NY wearing #20 he honestly thought he was the second coming of Allan Houston or something and would hoist shots particularly 3's. He is a 20+% 3pt shooter and never showed in NY he has a shot, but kept taking them. Not to mention he misses gimme lay-ups as mentioned before quite regularly. He can rebound, is like 6"10 and could bring the ball up the floor, and is a solid defender that's been his schtik for his career but he tries to do too much outside of his potential and it translates to a lot of misses, to's, and not to mention he's a terrible ft shooter. The hoisting of the shots would get you tired of him if he's in HOU long term trust me. What would get you more frustrated with him the most though if HOU keeps him is that he's set to make 30 million through next year (last season under contract) of NY's initial 6 year deal Jeffries had with us. He holds a player's option where an additional 1 million would be granted to him if he decides to stay on a team. You should cut him loose after next season cause no way you trade him it took us 4 years of the 6 he was here of wanting to trade to finally get it done he's practically untradeable. When you cut him get a good player out of it.

WHEN theyre shooting good, Which is never. brooks shoots 42% and martin is like 40%..And sinc ewhen did jeffries have a shot? "You have Lowry who adds touchness, Budingerr who is also a perimeter shooter, Jordan Hill adds body, Jeffries can take the charge and also has a good shot, throw in Hayes who has quick hands, there to take the charge, and can get the boards, Battier great defender." You basically just said what everyone does...i can dco that with the wizards..i really dont get what you were trying to do..yao is an OK blocker...as you can see im a lazy typer so ill sum up this. I see a team that can score,do it with alot of TO's and a bad% but they can do it...i see no defense..I do see alot of hustle and 3 pt shooting but yah..

| 360 you really need to look at a Rockets game. They were on ESPN last Wednesday vs. the Utah Jazz and we kicked their butt by 17 points with only 9 people. If you watch the game we have one of the top defensive teams in the league. Brooks and Martin shoot lights out and if they don't it's always somebody new to step up. You never know but think about this. If Brooks, Yao, and Martin were shooting at a high percentage... how deadly can that be? Next year when Yao actracts the low double team that will leave either Martin or Brooks open or maybe even somebody else. Do yourself a favor and look at a Rockets game once in a while. | |
