Three pointers by the Devils plus Zoubek's D and banging around were too much for the Mounties. Da'Sean Butler got a serious knee injury in the 2nd half which sucked any momentum WVU could have had to win the game. I certainly hope that it isn't as serious as the Bogut elbow.

It's been nine years since Duke's been at this point. I wouldn't
call them the most dominant program last few years, even though this post I made did make them the number one team of the last decade, despite their faults.

I also have money on the line here, so I have to root for them to win
the purse in the office pool!

I guess I'm rooting for Duke? Still not even sure. I like a decent amount of Duke's players, but really DISlike Scheyer. I'm not really attatched at all to any of Butler's players other than Veasley, so I guess I'm just hoping for a good game.

going to be the worst year in sports if Duke wins, since the Yankees won the WS and the Lakers won the Finals last year. Lakers are the only one I don't mind winning but they've won plenty of times

and it's been forever since we've had a title game upset. In a year of upsets this would make the season perfect. If not maybe the worst Final Four in NCAA Tournament history will be capped because the semifinals sucked and were kind of boring.

on Y!A they were talking about how it was funny that Dasean Butler got injured, and making racist comments about black.

The reason why I hate Duke is mainly the smug and arrogance of the fans. I experienced 1st hand when I went to a game at the Garden when Duke played Pittsburgh 2 years back.

They truly are racist and many are as bad as the media portrays

there are exceptions though so I won't generalize. With all sports though I don't dislike a team as much even if they're a rival if they have classy fans. Thats why I don't dislike the Pistons, and Titans too badly

You do sum up a little bit on my Top 10 of 2000's posts on Duke. The hate of the men's team is unbelievable that it goes to other sports as well.

Basketball is the only sport Duke has really been sucessful at. When Coach K goes whenever it is I think their success will fall, maybe not dramatically but they wont be the same. It wasnt until 1986 I believe that Duke had actually been successful.

Duke at football has always been bad, same with baseball. Thaddeus Lewis is a decent QB though

The one thing I dont like is how the NCAA let Duke off the hook when they broke the rules and Maggette accepted payments from an AAU Coach in 1999. USC with Mayo and Michigan with the Fab 5 got infractions for almost the same thing

I guess I'm kind of a hypocrite too wishing UConn got probation for their recruitment of Maya Moore and having Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi as hostesses for her when at best they should have had incidental contact (unless they were related to her, but they're not), while I'm glad Duke didn't get hit with the Maggette thing, though they could have I'll admit. UConn of course got a slap on the wrist for the Maya Moore stuff and they couldn't prove that Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi were sucking up to her though I'm not surprised if they did.

Don't know why they didn't go harder after her since she's from GA and in ACC/SEC territory. Maybe it's because of the Coach G leaving thing.

Its an ACL tear.. . he'll be fine.

ACL is a bad injury. He might not have the same athleticism but he's a tough guy and plays with a ton of heart and should be solid in the NBA
