aren't those BQs kinda implied in the first post?
anyway...yea nice win. not really much else to say. neither team played much actual defense, the Bulls turned the ball over way too much, but played just a bit better defense down the stretch. it could have easily gone either way. this is the type of game, though, that reaffirms that Derrick Rose is more of a undersized slasher/scorer than a point guard. lots of points, 4 assists, 5 turnovers. he's a really good player, but he's better as simply as a main scoring option, than as a ball distributor. this could change, but right now, he's a scorer to me, not a passer. just not big enough to play any other position than point guard.
as for the Bulls being half a game back of the 5th spot, I've expected this all season. they're a much better defensive team than Toronto or anyone else behind them (except Charlotte). their offense is serviceable (still need more consistent shooting), and overall they're a pretty decent team. however, I don't think they have the offensive firepower to pull an upset of the Hawks in the first round, nor are they as amazing a defensive team as the Bobcats to really fluster the better teams in the league. moving up a seed won't do much for them come playoff time, unless the team they face is injured. what it does do is cause Chris Bosh to look up at the Bulls in the standings while his Raptors fall behind. doing simple math, you think he'd be able to figure out that the Bulls are better than Toronto even though he's a Raptor. If the Raptors don't maintain the 5th seed, I doubt that he remains in Toronto, because the Bulls would clearly be a better option for him if it was about winning.
