Who else thinks Rudy Gay is as good as gone!!!

I really, really, really, really want him in NY. I mean sure Memphis is a young and promising team, but he refused a multi-year deal they offered him just this season to remain a Grizzly. Gay also has had friction in getting along with O.J. Mayo. And when you are a player of Gay's caliber and get payed less money than Jared freaking Jeffries you know there's a problem. Plus, Memphis doesn't generate enough income to come up with the salary Gay would want I think. I mean they are nearly bankrupt and thinking of moving the franchise and selling it once more.

Rudy Gay didnt accept the contract extention because

1. this was offered at the time when iverson was in the team, and the grizz were coming like second last in the west
2. he reackons he can get more money next, which i reackon he could pull a 7-10 mill contract, maybe even more

Rudy Gay and OJ had a little tussle at the start of the year BECAUSE of iversons position they were arguing in a competitive way to prove who was the second option after iverson, they settled their differences now and now they are building and looking to a playoff berth.

they are no where near bankrupt but i agree with you that they might not have enough to offer what gay wants, i would rather him go new york aswell but it dosent look like he will be moving due to team chemistry etc. but you never know it he might move cause ny is closer to his hometown
