Subject: My words to Martin. Thu Feb 18, 2010 8:53 pm
Martin found out he was gonna get traded during halftime, so he didnt play in the second half. I'm still gonna be the #1 Kevin Martin fan. Everytime we trade a player and they go on to another team, they always become stars. Well most likely. And I know that Martin will be great in the Rockets. I'm telling you... #1 rockets fan, watch out. He's not gonna be sucky, he never was anyway. Sactown was crazy about him, we did a huggee rally for him after he signed the contract. Every Kings fan will still love Martin, no matter where he ends up. It is a very very very sad day but you know whatever happened...happened. Just accept it. Rockets fans: I know you will love him. I know it, just trust me. Im still and always will be the best Kevin martin fan everrr. Thank you Martin for being a King and being so amazing. I'm gonna start watching the Rockets now.
Message to #1 Rockets fan: I know you miss Landry but Martin will be amazing with the Rockets. I'm still the #1 martin fan and just make sure no one takes my place . If you see him tell him Sacto still loves you
Your question might be...who will be my favorite player on the sacramento Kings?
Everyone on the Kings are my fave but if you forced me to choose one. It would be Cisco.
Still and always #1 Martin fan. Sorry for the errors

I vote for "or what?"
EVERYONE said Martin was gonna be traded.
However you are the most consistant.

He's still on my fantasy team and I don't wanna trade him wherever he goes. I still think Martin's excellent ability to score has not been treated fairly. Martin should never be the guy on a team that has to shoot 20+ FGA on a nightly basis cause he just isn't that great of a FG shooter in terms of %. If he was on a team that was a juggernaut offensively and had balanced scoring then Martin would be part of the shuffle or if he was on a team that already had a 20 shot opportunity a night player or two and Martin could just help them out. Then Martin would be a hell of a lot more efficient and he has the talent to be an All-Star type if ever put in that situation.

False. I know Kings fans that really wanted him gone, and thought he was the team's biggest problem.
Martin might be okay in Houston, where they already have two pretty good wing defenders in Battier and Ariza. I doubt that he'll start. Sacramento won huge by acquiring Landry for him, because they have no post depth. Plus they get a ton of cap space opened up because they no longer have to pay Martin. Overall, the Rockets didn't do to bad, by acquiring a bench scorer (though he is overpaid) and a couple of picks.
Kings will be much better off for now, and for the future with Martin gone. Tyreke is now the clear star and leader of the team, and they've got more depth in the front court. They shed their biggest salary as well, so that's great for a team that has been losing money. I expect them to try to move Udrih, Nocioni, and Garcia sometime in the off-season, because they all have entirely too large contracts for the Kings to be paying right now. All are signed through 2013 and all make 6+ million per year. The future of the team rests with Evans and Thompson anyway, and Landry, Hawes, Casspi, and Greene can all be solid contributors.

I just learned that sports is a business and as fans we get attached to certains players for a reason for another and you have to deal with and that is why i could never be a GM for a team or an owner / CEO or anything with management for the team because i would be too attached to players and not do what is best for the team .
well good luck Koolish : )
