| No wonder
In that case good trade both teams. Wiz just want money and Dallas gets a more quality center and wing player in Haywood and Caron

| If they can stay on the court, that is. But since Howard has really failed at that so far, just about anything would be an improvement lol. | |

Not for sure. But Yahoo! and one other place say it's almost done. And for once, it's a trade I like for both teams.

| if butler goes, i expect to see the wiz try extremely hard to move jamison in the next week. he's got a monster contract, but would be a huge pickup for anyone competing for a championship. | |

I said it in another thread, but what if the Cavs drop the Amare talks, and give the Wiz Hickson, Z's expiring contract and a first-round pick for Antawn?

| thats too much for Antawn. maybe without the pick or JJ. i wouldn't give up JJ unless i was getting somebody under 30, like Amare | |

| With the Z for Antawn trade, there is no point in doing it if we get NOTHING in return besides LeBron money. Cleveland isn't going to see Z wearing #11 in Wizard Blue; he's essentially going to take a one month vaca in Lithuania, get waived by us (because of an agreement) and play for the Cavs. This move makes us looks like chumps and we are sodomized; and no team wants to be looked at as chumps, so Ernie Grunfeld isn't going to do that. Jamison has been considered untouchable by the Wizards, and if we were to ship him off for Cleveland, I would want Z, and VAREJAO for him. I don't need Hickson who is still pretty raw, but not JaVale raw; JaVale can block shots and dunk, but 60% of his shot blocks are goal tends even today, and are essentially worthless.
Here is an acceptable Wiz/Cavs scenario involving Z AND Antawn
Wizards send: Antawn and Andray Blatche and Mike James
Cavaliers send: Z and Anderson Varejao (I wouldn't mind a pick as well, but Varejao is already pulling the Cavs' teeth)
Cavs can waive Mike James, and I wouldn't be pissed off about waiving Z if I got Varejao WITH HIM. The Chia Pet hair man has a knack for rebounds AND plays like a big man. Blatche gets more scoring opportunities with LeBron feeding him the rock.
After the Dallas and Cleveland trades, the lineup would be like this:
G - Foye G - Howard F - Miller F - Gooden C - Varejao
(That is a decent lineup of a number of role player starters and Robins who can now play to their FULL potential - Varejao could be a decent 15 ppg scorer if Z and Shaq didn't steal his lunch money among others, but Mike Miller and Howard will bet the #1 and #2 punches).

| No. No matter what we keep Varejao. I'd rather give up HIckson than Varejao. | |
