Do you think that the LA Clippers will trade Marcus Camby?

When Blake Griffin officially begins his career there will be a logjam in the middle with Marcus Camby, Chris Kaman, and Blake Griffin. Marcus Camby can ball and is an expiring contract, so teams may want to pursue him and to accomodate Griffin better LA may bite.

I think it will be most excellent if NY finds some way to bring #23 back to NY. I mean Camby fits in perfectly with Mike D he is extremely athletic and can shoot the mid range jumper. Plus, he can give us a defensive presence in the middle and he is a beast of a rebounder and blocker. Pretty good to have considering NY does not get blocks. He also is an underrated passer.

Camby is 1 in 1,000,000 he is the only C in the NBA w. the ability to do this...

Well its not like the Clips are a great team plus with Blake Griffen back its reasonable.

They either trade or use his EXP contract.

Camby is still one of the very best at the defensive end with his great rebounding,solid shot blocking skills and has nice jump shot from 15-18 feet.Griffin is debetable,if i was in the Clippers i would wait

I think that when he isn't hampered by injuries he is the best defensive C in the NBA. Better than Dwight Howard. Heck I'd even say Camby's offense is better than Howard's too because Camby has a well diversified offense and is the only pure C in the game today that can bring the ball up the floor and create his own shot. He is gonna be what 36 and still has extraodinary athleticism it's scary. Howard is a 20+ PPG player because he is able to dominate in the paint like no other today. Realistically, he lacks post moves. While, Marcus Camby has never been a 20+ PPG player because he's never been given the opportunity nor does he need to be the focal point on the offense to be effective. The guy gives you double-digit scoring even at 36 w./ 6-8 shot attempts a night. If he shot the same as Howard he would equate the scoring totals and would do it with a heavier offensive arsenal.

Camby put up an 11 pts, 21 rbs game a few games back and he also averages 2 bpg and a NBA leading 3 APG at the C position.

Well it depends on how Blake Griffin plays. Right now, the Clippers have a chance to make it as an 8th seed. If griffin plays well when he comes back, that will only improve their chances. So I don't think they should trade anyone this year. But if Griffin sucks when he comes back, then trading camby away would just be an idiot move by the Clippers. I think they should wait and see how it all plays out before they make a move like that.

Dream On,you said it man.If Griffin plays good then trade Camby but he should get a chance.Camby isn't for thorwing out,he's still one of the very best centers out there.

I think they should trade Camby to the Blazers. They need size right now, and down the road he would be a great mentor for Oden (if he can stay healthy).

Oden and Camby at the defensive end and that would be good duo

SG:Brandon Roy

And with Camby you can make diffrent group of big men like C:Oden,PF:Camby/C:Camby,PF:Aldridge/C:Przylia,PF:Camby,etc.Plus he would be a good mentor to the already great defensive Oden.Greg needs some advices to make his offensive game better from his coaches and why not from a player who has faced great centers...

Blake Griffin is their future...
It is yet to be seen whether it will be a good future.....but thats another thing..

Camby's value will never ever be higher in the future...
He's 35 yrs old...and he's bound to start declining...
Trade him away for some future picks/ young players and set up a nice supporting cast around Blake...

If only they could trade away Baron Davis too...
If only they could fire Mike Dunleavy too...
If only they went to another market where the players actually feel appreciated and thus resulting in luring in more players...

Kinda sad that an expansion team in the Charlotte Bobcats are already on their way to having a better history than the Clippers. Who have been in the NBA for more than awhile, 40 years to be exact.
