Can we expect to see some new rivalries in the next decade?

Or will it be the same teams going at it for another ten years?

i think we will have a few new ones but i am not sure

BQ. OKC without a doubt in my mind

BQ2. Spurs because they have been the most consistent then the Lakers

Miami-Cleveland=Conference rivals,lebron and wade,already have a pretty strong history of great games

Orlando-Toronto-dwight vs cb4 bioth will be pretty good teams in the future (assuming their core is intact)

OKC-Portland=kinda self explanatory. 2 young teams with a good core and 2 superstars!

Detroit-Chicago=probably already a rivalry but whatev

I agree with you completely with the Spurs but i think OKC will be great this next decade. right up there with Cavs

Cavs and Magic games will be exciting to watch for the next 8 years. hopefully the bulls get to be an elite team again, and it will be fun seeing them battle the cavs in the division. I think the blazers and Lakers will become bigger rivals also.

BQ2: either the spurs or the lakers. The spurs were picked to make it to the finals 8 times this decade. I think that is prett impressive. And they have stayed over the 55 win mark for a long time. The lakers weren't a threat for a couple of seasons

I would love to see OKC and Portland develop a strong rivalry. That would be great!

I think you'll see a Portland-OKC rivalry emerge in the next decade, since I see them having the most stockpiled players with potential/raw talent in the league. Assuming their respective cores stay together, it'll be great to see those two teams go at it. The Lakers-Celtics rivalry is omnipresent, I'm hoping for a Knicks-Pacers renaissance, but it's hard to say. Maybe Memphis and Minnesota will emerge in a rivalry or something.

For example, the Lakers have the most championships of the decade with 4, but on another thread it was unanimous that the Spurs were the most consistent team of the decade. I'll say the Lakers, but with the disclaimer that it's biased lol.

All these teams that are tied up in money now are looking at some tough years unless another phenom comes along.
