He actually speaks about social issues.

From what I have heard from Drake, he doesn't do much of that.

I agree rush...lupe has no flow his the message behind his songs are his strogpoint,but to be a good rapper it takes more. his flow is terrible,his vioce is like he hasnt hit puberty

Listen! all drake does is rap about girls, getting money, and he tries to imitate Wayne. Lupe Fiasco is on the other level. He knows what hes talking about. He talks about things that actually matter! If you look at Lupes lyrics, they are AMAZING!

It's called spreading awareness.
You may live it but there are others who are uninformed about what is taking place in society. Therefore, Lupe is utilizing his music (which is a great public outlet) to spread messages that need to be heard. That is why I would choose him over Drake anyday.

I should say drake because he went to school in my area and is half jewish...

but really, for me they're just about tied - I haven't heard a bad drake song, but the good lupe songs are better than the good drake songs. I would rather have "superstar" over "best i ever had"

Rap should not be restricted to money, cars, and whores.
That is why some people stereotype rap as only being about that.
I like Lupe (and other rappers like him) because they break that stereotype surrounding rap music and branch out to other topics such as racism, violence, etc (more important topics to speak about in music anyway).
