..We have one tomorrow for the red cross. Its cool, because I get to miss all my classes, and eat all day...you guys should consider giving blood even if your school doesnt have them..it could save somones life..maybe even your own *Knocks on wood*

Yeah my school has them about 2-3 times a year =]

I wish I could but I dont meet the requirements

Nope. The HS does but only for the kids that do medical classes... my sister never met requiremnents. pissed her off lol

Yes, I give blood when I can for some of the reasons you stated.

Yes, we had a lot of them at my high school. I never gave, though, not because I didn't care, but because I hate needles. They even offered free sports tickets to those who donated most of the time.

lol, its actually not even a needle. Its a little tube..plus the numb up the spot, so all you fell is a little pinch..its the waiting, and the screening you have to go through that will piss you off.

actually it sounds worse.

whats the minimum weight you have to be to give blood? I remember someone complained about it before at my high school when they didn't weight enough to give.

My friends try to encourage me to give blood considering I have the rare blood type. I forget what it is called though.

I'm kinda scared to do so, haha.
