You already said it, they're tough to compare. They don't do very many of the same things on either end of the floor (besides put up points, even that in very different ways), and play completely different positions. Melo has the potential to be better than Iverson, but he isn't now. I hope Melo will reach his potential and be better than Iverson at the end of his career. I certainly hope Melo will end his career with more Championship rings than Iverson.

They both score a lot and both played in the Big East there those are 2 comparisons, but honeslt they are totally different and don't even score in the same ways they both have their certain styles. However, in terms of toughness and scoring capacity I'd take AI as well as being able to facilitate I'd take AI and get steals AI wins, but Melo has gotten better defensively he'll be a better defender than AI when it's all said and done and he's the better rebounder obviously.
