| Gasol 22 pts, 12 rebs, 3 asts Ellis 18 pts, 5 rebs, 6 asts score: 130-97, Lakers I was iffy about this game but Pau did well, they took advantage which was key. Brown did well too And of course, Ellis was good as well. Did anyone hear that vocal Dubs fan? lol, win! | |

False, Maggette disrupted the offense, Ellis was off, and Morrow was misused off the bench. Now, thats all I have to say.

| Ellis was doing 1 on 1 Iso's all game, and Maggette was more focused on creating contact then playing smart. | |

| *sigh* we have 8 players with an average age of 24. You guys have a full roster of vets that just came off of a championship season. That = recipe for failure.
And idk what Monta was thinking...taking it in on Gasol/Bynum all the time...

| You always tell me I don't understand triangle. Apparently you don't understand our offense (or at least how its supposed to work) either. Its supposed to be based on getting easy buckets in transition drive and dish shooting. Like Abdi said, Monta was isoing way too much (disrupts offensive flow nearly as bad as Maggette), and from where he normally shoots most of his shots, hes should be shooting 48-52%. He shot 41% tonight. He had 6 assists, great, but he also had 4 turnovers and shot 4 times from 3, where he isn't very consistent or even effective. Curry did alright as the PG tonight, he usually does, but he still can't find his jump shot to save his life. He shot 33% from the field. Maggette gets his stats, and they lie to you. Most of the time, all he's doing is disrupting the offensive flow. He did it again tonight. As for Morrow, why he came off the bench, IDK, but he didn't shoot well. He was off from 3 and shot well below his season shooting percentage. He aslo had 3 turnovers and 4 fouls in somewhat limited minutes (in comparison to his recent nights).
Only Curry could be said to have played well IMO, but even he kept missing shots.

| I'm not saying they did as well as they should have, or maybe could have. But they werent terrible. Those numbers are acceptable. I don't get why you're so defensive about someone saying that your team wasn't THAT bad. It's usually the other way around. When I post threads about the Lakers wining, I always build both teams up and that's not gonna change. But for this situation, you can have it your way:
Monta Ellis and Magette played like shit. happy? lol

| as a side note, we always have players w/ decent looking stats. for instance, if you look at Maggette's game log, he looks like a great night in-night out contributor, but in reality, hes 75-90% of the time playing to get his own stats. it's nice of you to try to build a team up, even when beaten, but when a team loses this bad, even short-manned, they don't deserve praise, its as simple as that. | |
