What will be the toughest conference in the upcoming season?

For me it's a toss-up between the Southeast and Southwest, but maybe I missed one looking at the conferences. Thoughts?

EDIT: Right, meant division. I was looking at a preview of the Pac-10 when I thought of this and put conference.

Southwest..
San Antonio- sure fire playoffs
Mavs- sure fire playoffs
Hornets- most likely playoffs
Rockets- probable playoffs
Grizzlies- competeing for playoff spot(Improved a lot)

Southeast-
Magic- sure fire playoffs
Hawks- sure fire playoffs
Wizards- probable playoffs
Bobcats- competeing for playoffs
Heat- probable playoffs

Points towards west by a small margin.

i say southeast

wade will lead miami to the playoffs
wizards are definetly making the playoffs if healthy
Bobcats are competing for a spot
hawks are probably 4th seed in the playoffs

Anyways gotta give it to Southwest.SA is a legit championship contender,mavs and hornets are better than all the teams in southeast except magic and rockets are a good team.

Absolutely the Southwest. San Antonio is improved, the Mavs are improved, the Hornets are now slightly improved with the Okafor move, the Rockets are hurting but as we saw in the Lakers series, they've got the heart to compete, and the Grizzlies are a year older, so they won't be as bad. Overall, this should be an interesting division.

As for the Southeast, I think it's almost a lock Orlando wins the division. But EVERY other team in that division will be competing for a playoff spot. So as for 'competitive' thats not quite as talented as the Southwest, but it's just as 'competitive' if not more, because after the "Big 3"(Boston/Cleveland/Orlando) in the East, to me; everything else is very wide open.

Definitely Southeast. You got 4 out of 5 teams there that are up and coming with a lot of young guys all wanting to show how good they can play. That division is going to be tight for years to come.

The last few years it's been the southwest, but since the Rockets might not be so good after losing Yao, T-mac, and RonRon, I'll give it to the Southeast
